Gee Bee R-2 Racer

This was the only flying replica of the Bee Gee R-2 in the world. Owner/pilot Delmar Benjamin had hoped to find a sponsor to buy it and donate it to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. This failed and the R-2 will join the Bee Gee Z at Kermit Weeks' Fantasy of Flight in Florida.
