Nieuport 28
(N.28C-1)

The French-built Nieuport 28 was the first fighter flown in combat by American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) pilots in WWI. Although the Nieuport 28 was considered obsolete at the time, American pilots maintained a favorable victory to loss ratio with it.
