From 1979 to 1984, the YA-10 on display served as a traveling exhibit with the Air Force Orientation Group (AFOG). AFOG presented the aircraft to the Museum on 26 July 1984. It's painted to represent an A-10A flown by the 23rd Tactical Fighter Wing during the late 1980s.
