Brigadier General Paul Tibbets

General Tibbets died at his Columbus, Ohio, home on November 1, 2007. He was 92. His will stated that he did not want a funeral service, and he asked that he be cremated for fear protesters would deface a gravestone.

In a sad statement of how corrupt this nation's priorities are, CBS News's Bob Schieffer stated that "his passing drew little comment. His obituary was buried deep inside the major newspapers, and TV gave his passing less coverage than the death of singer Robert Goulet." The Cretins that now inhabit the U.S. care more about the latest antics of Britney Spears than memorializing truly great heroes who have shaped our history.
