Anyone familiar with World War II era aircraft will be amaized at how much room there is in this cockpit. This B-29 was modified to a
TB-29A in April, 1946, and used for operational training. Part of the modification was the addition of an instructor's seat, which can be seen on the left, behind the aircraft commander's position.
