Handley Page Halifax NA337

NA337 was located in 1991 under 759 feet of water. She was recovered on 3 September 1995. Halifax NA337 was airlifted to Canada and underwent a ten year full restoration. In 2005, she was put on display at the RCAF Memorial Museum in Trenton - now the National Air Force Museum of Canada.

Halifax NA337

NA337 performed "Special Duties" work that included dropping paratroopers, special agents, and carrying supplies to members of resistance groups in Europe. On 23 April 1945, just 15 days before the end of the war in Europe, she was shot down over Lake Mjøsa in Norway. Only Flight Sergeant Thomas Weightman, the rear gunner, survived.
