L-39C Albatros

This L-39 was destroyed during a hanger fire on 9 October 2004. It was a Czech built, single engine, tandem two seat, subsonic trainer. The Albatros first flew on 4 November 1968 and served as a trainer for the Warsaw Pact nations. Thousands remain on active service as basic and advanced trainers.
