Boeing B-52D Stratofortress

This Stratofortress made its final flight on 26 October 1983 from Carswell AFB, Texas, to Willow Run Airport, Michigan. Clyde was dedicated, on Memorial Day 1984, as a memorial to all aircrews who lost their lives in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.

Clyde

Boeing manufactured this B-52D-25-BW (S/N 55-0677) in its Wichita, Kansas plant and delivered it to the USAF on 1 August 1975. She flew over 600 combat missions in Vietnam. On one mission she returned with a SAM wedged in her wing. She is named Clyde.
