This P-47D-40-RA (S/N 44-90460) flew with the Brazilian A.F. after WWII. It was retired and stripped for spares on 17 May 1958 and purchased by Neal Melton of of Luttrell, Tennessee in 1995. It was under restoration from 1996 to 1999, and had its restoration flight on 3 August 1999.
