Lynx Reconnaissance Vehicle

The fast, lightly armored Lynx carried communications equipment and acted as a mobile headquarters or scouting vehicle. Based on the M113 armored personnel vehicle, its high speed and low silhouette were useful for its duties because they made it harder to locate and hit. Designed to float, it could also use its tracks to drive itself through water. Canadian Lynxes saw service overseas as part of NATO commitments and U.N. peacekeeping operations.
