Caber Toss

The thrower stands the caber up with the large end at the top. He then hoists the caber up and cups the small end in his hands.

Caber Toss

The caber is a tree that has been cut and trimmed so one end is slightly wider than the other. It can vary from 16 to 22 feet long and 100 to 180 pounds. The smaller end is rounded off so it is easier for the thrower to cup it in his hands.
