Haghia Sophia
The dome is 55.6 meters (184 ft.) high and 31.36 meters (102 ft.) wide. It sits on four marble beams. The diameter of Hagia Sophia's dome is just slightly smaller than that of the Pantheon in Rome. Beneath the dome are 40 windows and ribs, which allowed light into the gold interior.
