USS West Virginia Marker
There are eight white markers indicating the location of the eight battleships damaged on Battleship Row during the Japanese attack. Those eight were the Arizona with 1,177 dead, the Oklahoma with 429 dead, the West Virginia with 106 dead, the California with 100 dead, the Nevada with 60 dead, the Tennessee with 5 dead, the Maryland with 4 dead, and the Pennsylvania with 9 dead. The ninth battleship was the Utah, which sunk with 64 dead. She was docked on the northwest side of Ford Island.
