Richard Ira
"Dick" Bong

Richard Bong (September 24, 1920 – August 6, 1945) is the United States' highest-scoring air ace. He is credited with shooting down at least 40 Japanese aircraft in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He is a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
