Trabant 601 S Delux

The East German Trabant 601 provides a stark example of how socialism failed to provide the promised worker's paradise. It was powered by a two-cylinder, two stroke engine with 28 hp. The Trabant's body was made of pressed plastic and cotton panels attached to a galvanized steel chassis.
