Blimp Airdock

Goodyear Zeppelin completed the airdock in 1929. By 1933, they had built two dirigibles, the USS Akron and USS Macon. Blimps were last built in the airdock in the 1950s.

Blimp Airdock

Goodyear has built more than 300 airships, more than any other company in the world. The airdock had not been used for more than 40 years, but Lockheed Martin (in 2003) was renovating it to assemble their High Altitude Airship (HAA) military blimp.
